President’s Message

Welcome to Neumont College of Computer Science. As you peruse our courses in the enclosed catalog, we hope you get a sense of what we firmly believe: Neumont is a special place. Yes, we teach all kinds of computer science-related topics in our classrooms.  But more importantly, throughout the process of a Neumont education, a deeper form of learning takes place. A transformative educational experience occurs where teachers learn from students and students learn from peers just as much as they do from their instructors.  Through this process, Neumont students undergo a transformation in a broad swath of academic disciplines that stretches well beyond computer science.  Students develop critical communication and collaboration skills, build a well-rounded professional skillset, and gain confidence as they master their chosen technology specialization. Through this process, students find themselves rebuilt, reinforced, and well-equipped for new horizons as they look forward to graduation and the start of a highly successful career. Graduates find themselves prepared for new challenges they never dreamt possible before attending Neumont. That’s what Neumont is all about: improving lives through education.

As you review this Course Catalog, you might notice that, although our programs concentrate on the digital sciences, we also provide an essential foundation of general education courses.  Neumont prepares students with a wide range of courses which has been refined through countless hours of consultation with industry-leading employers.  Our general education offerings and electives support and enhance a variety of learning interests.  Through project courses and industry-partnered Enterprise Projects, students encounter countless opportunities to explore advanced technologies, work with industry experts, refine technology and soft skills, and build a portfolio of real project experiences.

A degree from Neumont College of Computer Science represents significant personal accomplishment. Earning a Neumont degree requires focus, sacrifice, and dedication to learning and self-improvement.  Each quarter, our students work together on difficult and challenging projects where they design, create, and adapt quickly in a team-based, collaborative environment.  Through this experience, Neumont graduates realize a competitive edge, resulting in potential career opportunities at companies across the globe.  Each year, many of the same employers return to campus to hire more graduates. We view that as the highest form of endorsement: employers consistently report to us that they hire Neumont graduates because they are more prepared than graduates from other institutions.

I invite you to explore the courses in our catalog. They lay the foundation of an academic system that helps our students evolve into innovative and inspiring leaders as they leverage technology to change the world.
