Scholarships and Financial Aid

Paying for college is a challenge for most students and their families. Neumont University provides assistance through the Office of Financial Aid to help students formulate a plan to fund their education. Financial aid is available for those who qualify.

Scholarships for new students are announced each year, in the Fall.

Sources of funding for a Neumont education, other than personal and family contributions, include:

Neumont grants and scholarships, including merit-based Presidential, Achievement, and Transfer Scholarships, need-based Access Grants, resident-based Utah Grants, and Outside Scholarship Match;
Federal grants, including Federal Pell Grants and Supplemental Education Opportunity Grants (SEOG);
Federal loans, including Federal Direct Subsidized Loans, Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loans, and Federal Direct PLUS Loans;
Veterans assistance programs, such as Iraq & Afghanistan Service Grants (IASG), Post-9/11 GI Bill grants, and the Yellow Ribbon Program;
Alternative financing programs, including private and institutional loans.

Since the primary responsibility for the education of a student rests with the student and his or her family, it is presumed that the student and the family will make the maximum effort to provide for the expenses of an undergraduate education. Financial aid, regardless of the source, should always be considered a supplement to, not a substitute for, family financial support.
